What is windshield repair?

Windshield repair is a process that combines the use of special tools and skill to repair damaged areas of a windshield. The primary goal of repair is to keep the damage from spreading, restore strength to the glass and avoid needing windshield replacement. The secondary goal is to improve the appearance and optical clarity of the windshield. The degree of improvement will vary depending on the type of damage there is and how long it has been on the windshield. The sooner you repair your windshield, the better chance the damage will not be as noticeable. Schedule your repair today!

Why repair my windshield?

Windshields have come a long way in automobiles. They are now designed as an integral part of vehicle safety by supporting the roof in rollovers and also the passenger side air bag when it deploys. By repairing your windshield as soon as possible, you reduce the chance of damage spreading into a larger crack. Once this occurs a replacement is usually necessary. Depending on the type of vehicle and any special technology equipped within the glass, replacements can get extremely expensive! Repairs are a fraction of the replacement cost and allow you to maintain the bonded seal between the vehicle frame and glass (if the windshield has never been replaced.) Repairing also helps extend wiper blade life, as any damage within the sweep of the wiper may cut the blade causing premature wear. You will also be keeping a windshield out of a landfill, due to the manufacturing process they are not recyclable.
